Mariscadoras: transforming an environmental crisis into an entrepreneurial challenge

𝗟𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘀, are five young entrepreneurs from Rimini who in 2021 founded a startup that has transformed the ecological problem of the 𝗯𝗹𝘂𝗲 𝗰𝗿𝗮𝗯 into an economic opportunity. Where many saw a threat to our seas and fisheries, they saw an opportunity: transforming an environmental problem into an entrepreneurial challenge. When they came to us in EDI - Eccellenze d'Impresa we worked together to transform this intuition into a real project. Today the blue crab, transformed into meatballs, sauces and other products for GDO and catering, is distributed throughout Italy and even abroad, as far as the United States. Their success demonstrates that when a vision is accompanied by a clear strategic path, even the most difficult challenges can be transformed into concrete results. In this interview Carlotta Santolini (marine biologist and co-founder) tells us how their idea was born.
